BKAC Celebrates Successful Fundraising for CHS Track Lights Project

March 25, 2025

The Black Knights Athletic Club (BKAC) is thrilled to announce the successful completion of its fundraising efforts for the “CHS Track Lights Project.” The project will provide outdoor lighting at the Curtis Elder Track and Field Facility at Charlottesville High School, with installation scheduled for the first week of June 2025.

The lights will provide increased safety for CHS athletes and community members during the dark winter months. The new lights will also enable the CHS track team to host regional meets, enhancing the school's visibility and generating additional revenue.

The Charlottesville Track Club, Perry Foundation, Flow Automotive companies, and numerous individual donors played crucial roles in achieving the fundraising goals.

BKAC extends its gratitude to Charlottesville City Schools, the School Board, and the City of Charlottesville for their support in recognizing the importance of student and community health and safety.

The Black Knight Athletic Club is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN: 88-3765029), so all donations are tax-deductible.
